Ultio [cover]

Fera

Ultio

EP – 17  March 2019
Digital and Digipak

“Fera” is the debut EP of Italian one man band Ultio. Furious riffs, inhuman vocals, sinister melodies: uncompromising Black Metal for Swedish Black Metal fans and much more!

A blend of blast beats from the Marduk and Dark Funeral school, sick riffs as in Carpathian Forest or Gorgoroth and some influences from the “modern classics” as Watain and 1349, just to name a few.

The music is written and recorded in an improvisational way: instinct with no filters. A raw incarnation of black metal which blends several atmospheres with a personal touch.

Previously released as a demo (April, 2018) “Fera” has been remastered and distributed on Digipack CDr and Digital by Brucia Records.

Reviews

“Darkly melodic, bleakly hateful, and searingly intense, these songs are underground exemplars of how to vomit forth infectious, lethal black metal into the world”
Indy metal vault

“The EP’s short length couldn’t be more misleading; there’s more here to explore than in countless other more bloated black metal releases I’ve heard”
Noise not music

“Era da tempo che un disco black non obbligava a schiacciare nuovamente il tasto play dopo la fine, per riascoltarlo ancora e Fera spinge a farlo più volte.”
MetalEyes IYE – 7.5/10

“It’s through subtle melodies and a pang of constant hunger for flesh that Ultio churns on in all twenty minutes of this EP to make “Fera” one of the most potent exhibitions of black metal that I’ve seen for a little while…”
Headbanger Reviews

“There is also abundant, and perhaps lunatic, passion that comes through in the music of the black metal solo project Ultio, whose tremendous debut EP Fera is the first release of Brucia Records”
